New Fall Yarns

Every week this fall, the shop has received at least one new box of yarn. While they are all lovely, some are more anticipated than others. Last week it was the Habu and this week…new Madelinetosh! Yeah!

Tosh Merino Light - This gorgeous fingering weight yarn is 100% superwash merino wool with 420 yards per skein. We have ten colorways currently on the shelf with no guarantees how long they will last!

Pashmina – This fantastic 75% merino, 15% silk and 10% cashmere machine-washable yarn has 360 yards of sport-weight splendor per skein. Ten vibrant colorways are on the shelf. Walk through the front door with your hand outstretched straight ahead and you should be able to grab some goodness!

While you are looking at the Pashmina, you’ll also notice two new Rowan yarns in our lace weight section – kidsilk creation and kidsilk haze stripe (colours by Kaffe Fassett). Here is some more information:

Rowan kidsilk creation – This 70% super kid mohair and 30% silk yarn is put up in a tubular netting construction that stretches to about 5 inches in width and is eleven yards long. The ball band has a pattern on the reverse side to knit or crochet one scarf. Very clever! We have a shop model so you can see the final result and our knitter reports it will only take an hour or hour and a half to complete.

Rowan kidsilk haze stripe (colours by Kaffe Fassett) - 460 yards of kid silk haze with Kaffe Fassett stripes and a pattern for a scarf on the ball band. Don’t really need to say more, do I?
