Featured Artists

The Yarnery loves to have new stuff to share with customers. Yes, we have the wonderful workhorse yarns like Cascade 220 and Lamb’s Pride Worsted and we have classic patterns by Nancy Lindberg and Yankee Knitters for many projects. But sometimes, don’t you just love to find something different and unique?

Our current featured yarn artist is Angela Radzyuk and her hand-dyed yarn from Waseca, MN. Her company is called All for Love of Yarn and she has several lovely yarns dyed in shaded solids and multi-colored versions.

We have three of her fingering weight yarns featured in the shop right now:

Opulence – 80% Superwash Merino Wool, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon
Weight/Yardage: 100g/430yds

Sumptuosity - 70% Baby Alpaca, 20% Silk, 10% Cashmere

Weight/Yardage: 100g/432yds/3 Ply Fingering

Nogi - 90% Superwash Merino Wool, 10% Nylon

Weight/Yardage: 125g/475yds Fingering

We have also just added a couple of new designers to our pattern collection. Adrian Bizilia of Hello Yarn fame is a mitten genius.

Her Fiddlehead Mittens pattern

and the new Flocked Mittens are now in stock.

Yarnery staffer Peggy has recently made a great pair of Fiddlehead Mittens and offered a comment, “I have to say that this pattern has not just been beautiful, but also very well written.”

The other new set of patterns is from Thea Colman of Baby Cocktails. Her well-designed garments are favorites on Ravelry and we have stocked the following five sweater patterns and a pair of mittens, including Nantucket Red,

the Golden Vintage Cardigan,

and one of her newest designs, Mulled Cider.

Her patterns come in a wide range of sizes and seem to balance fit and style with straightforward construction and a bit of challenge to keep you from getting bored.

In researching our new pattern designers, we noticed one thing they have in common in addition to great design style – they both live in Massachusetts. Welcome to Minnesota and we’re glad you decided to join us!

Finally, thank you to both Adrian, Thea and Thea's photographer, Caro Sheridan (aka Splityarn) for the use of their photos.
