Everything is Better with Kid Silk Haze

Everything is better with Kid Silk Haze (KSH)!

For some people, everything tastes better with a little butter. For others, it is chocolate. And there are even some who feel everything is better with bacon. For knitters, we know the real truth…everything is better with KSH.

While there are many things you can make with KSH all by itself, the wonderful combinations with other yarns are almost unlimited. For years at the Yarnery, we've had shop models and staff sporting sweaters from KSH and Koigu. It is a lovely combination, but we didn’t stop there. Check out some of our more recent delights:

Theresa Gaffey’s Inniskillen Stole #186 is a gorgeous combination of Claudia’s Handpainted sock yarn and KSH.

KSH works with any sock yarn.

Alpaca with a Twist (pink) and Dream in Color (blue)

We have Theresa Gaffey’s Hazy Hat #107 pattern and her SuBeran #59 Mitten pattern,

Fleece Artist Merino 2/6

both made with sock yarn and KSH.

Theresa Gaffey’s Elfrieda's Ruched Scarf #197 is made with Malabrigo sock yarn and KSH.

Designers and famous knitters other than Theresa Gaffey are also combining a thin, mohair/silk blend with another yummy yarn. The Yarn Harlot, Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, recently featured Madelinetosh dk and a mohair/silk blend in a hat for her daughter.

Noro’s Kirameki, a self-striping rayon/nylon/wool/cashmere blend, and KSH is our most recent combination. Yarnery staffer, Peggy, is making the CocoKnits pattern Gisela. Check out her great start in the photo below.
